Third place went to Augi D’Ewes and Lesley Godley on 43 points.

In the men’s section, it was much closer, but the Gary Purtell captain’s team edged out the Don Osbourn’s vice-captain’s team 6-5.

Best scores on the day were returned by Eddie Geffen and Malcolm Moorley on 46 points, counting out Bob O’Callaghan and Andrew Leckie.

In third place on 45 points were Malcolm Greenland and Rory O’Donnell, one ahead of Olliver Ransome and Leon Steyn on 44 points.
