Superb Pro Vision debut for Savir

The next game will be at Southbroom on August 25.

Savir Ghingai had a Pro Vision debut for the ages, with 44 points to clinch top spot. He’s only 15 years old and straight out of the club’s development programme.

It was the club’s seventh monthly game for the year and held at Port Shepstone Country Club. Savir made the most of the course, playing beautifully.

The competition was sponsored by Deshan Chetty of Isibani Consulting Agencies and included starter pack gifts for the youth development players.

Three players carded 41 points, and after the countouts had been done, Enoch Shazi was the runner-up, with Santhos Baskali and Wesley Scholtz in third and fourth position, respectively.

Pro Vision chairman Preggie Perumal completed the top five with 39 points.

Top five:
A division – Santhos Baskali, Bulelani Ngilande, London Nzama, Sbu Ntozakhe and Naveshin Moodley.
B division – Preggie Perumal, Suveshan Iyaloo, Morris Moodley, Derrick Nzama and Fabian Makhanya.
C division – Savir Ghingai, Enoch Shazi, Wesley Scholtz, Jerome Ragavan and Atish Ghingai.

Taking top honours in the team division were Bunker Buddies on 107 points.

Team leaderboard: 1 London’s Warriors 495 points, 2 Bunker Buddies 472 points, 3 Pro Vision Super Kings 470 points, 4 18-Hole Warriors 441 points, 5 Trade City Warriors 370 points.

The next game will be at Southbroom Golf Club on Sunday, August 25, sponsored by the Preggy Naidu of Shiva Clothing.

This game will be the last chance for players to claim a spot in the Mug Winners competition which will be held at Wild Coast Country Club.

The annual Liverpool-Manchester United Supporters’ Match will take place at Port Shepstone CC on Sunday, September 15.
