Super scores at Southbroom

The course is in pretty good condition.

The Wednesday competition at Southbroom Golf Club was won by Bruce Matthew, Derek Oelofse, Roger Hissey and Geoff Skelton on 91 points.

Runners-up were Gary Purtell, Jack Moulder, Nicky Smith and Bob O’Callaghan on 88 points.

In third place on 86 points were Jonathan Muthige, Darryl Morris and Thabiso Ciliza.

Friday’s Nashua/Oasis Business Day was won by Clive, Preger, Kegan and Kevin on 97 points.

Runners-up on 95 points were Schalk Oosthuizen, Ed Roux, Chippy Louw and George Bouwie, counting out Sharon Turnbull-Jackson, Graham Volck, Vic Pretorius and Jeanne Powell.

The ladies’ competition last Saturday saw both scores to count on the 5th, 7th, 13th and 17th.

Winners were Louise Leal and Sandy FitzGerald on 46 points.

In second place were Jo Ledden and Annie Bruwer on 45 points.

The men’s betterball followed the same scoring format and was won by Eddie Geffen and Malcolm Moorley on 49 points.

Runners-up were Oliver Burnett and Sam O’Hare on 48 points.

They counted out Jean-Henri and Pieter Els, who counted out Phil Verwey and Martin Hutton.
