From the Bowling Greens

News and results from South Coast bowling greens.

THE BELL
The invitational novice pairs was played last weekend with some really good bowls on display.
Thanks were extended to the sponsors.
Overall winners were Darren Babich with his skip Anthony Card.
Linda and Jeff Upfold were second, followed by Martie de Beer and Dora Vosloo and then Desiré Stalmann and Rob Lyle in fourth place.
Winners of the Piet se Hut pairs were Mike Bennison and Carl Volker.
In second place were Sharolyn Dacey and Steve O’Moore, followed by Hew Hodgson and Mada Lindeque.
Winners of the Merlo Hardware, Casa Mia Restaurant and Pool Prof open fours were Barry and Desiree Krause with Gerda Clark and Doug Shepherd.
Runners-up were Sharolyn Dacey, Steve O’Moore, Dina van der Walt and Winnie Hess.
In third place were Hew Hodgson, Kevin Mullen, Bob Hicks and Jim Vaughn.

PORT EDWARD
The Spar Open Trips on May 7 was won by Pam Cole-Cook, Hazel Delaney and Edith Button.
Runners-up were Mike Dixey, Leigh Warner and Nicky Hearn.
First session went to John Keppler, Leoni Booth and Rina Fourie.
Second session went to Rob Lyle, Amanda Visser and Pat Brand-Lyle.
The Cow Shed 2-Bowl Trips on May 9 was won by John Kepler, Steve Rennie and Colin Gourlie.
Runners-up were Chris Green, Hazel Delaney and Nicky Hearn.
First session went to Chris Pozane, Johan Visser and Marie Louise.
Second session went to Lyn Walton, Uys Kilian and Derek Wicks.

HIBBERDENE
The Hibberdene Pharmacy nominated mixed trips were won by Rienie Blignault, Bubbles Bezuidenhout and Bez Bezuidenhout.
Second place went to Jimmy Hay, Bruce Hoyer and Dianne Geyser.
Session went to Luke Pohl, Estelle Quinn and Hettie Nel.

TWENI
The Umtentweni Pharmacy men’s pairs was won by Kevin Mullen and Tony Aveyard.
Runners-up were Albert Munnik and Colin Abood.
Session prize went to Carl Volker and Mike Schmidt.
