Bronze for bowlers at Interdistricts

The bowlers acquitted themselves very well.

The Kingfisher Bowling Association competed in the BSA Interdistricts held around the country from March 4 to 8.
The women’s open team won bronze, which is a wonderful achievement.
Overall, all teams were praised for their efforts.

Special thanks were extended to Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach for supplying two vehicles for the men’s and women’s veterans to travel to Pretoria.

The various teams were as follows:
Open – Pam Cole-Cook, Jessica Henderson, Leoni Booth and Pat Brand-Lyle. Eileen Burt, Annatjie Kidd, Helen Proctor and Sandy van Niekerk.

Veterans – Sharolyn Dacey, Desiree Krause, Alida Munnik and Gerda Clark. Linda Mynhart, Stephanie Podmore, Kitty Cochman and Erena Herbst.

B – Lindi Samuels, Gaynor Symons, Marion Knott and Dina van der Walt. Pauline Dunlop, Charmaine van der Westhuizen, Amanda Taylor and Elize Duvenage.

Open – Shane Nienaber, Ron Weddell, Gerhard Waldeck and Ferro van Greunen. Andre Malgue, Glen Hatfield, Tim Wooley and Clinton Knott.

Veterans – Brian Douthwaite, Malcolm Hean, Des Hean and Bruce Hoyer. Eddie Fann, Louw Vermeulen, Bruce Millar and St John Roodt.

B – Markus Steinmann, Paul Mundell, Pierre Coetsee and Neil Patterson. Dumisani Madlala, Johan Labuschagne, Cosmos Gumede and Dillon Schoeman.

President – Robbie Duyts, Ryan Keys, Hans van der Walt and Donnovan Mulder. Albert Munnik, Johan du Preez, Stijon Podmore and Darren Babich.

* In other KBA news, Munster BC hosted the finals of the KBA fours tournament.
Winners were Eddie Fann’s team from Port Shepstone Country Club.
In the women’s section, winners were The Bell, led by Ann Swanepoel.
Runners-up were the The Bell and Banner’s Rest.
Joint thirds were PSCC and The Bell. For the women, it was Hibberdene and Riverside.
