Athletes tackle tough runs

Scottburgh Athletic Club's latest news and results.

Scottburgh Athletic Club members had a busy weekend. Some of the road runners tackled the Durban City Marathon last Sunday.

Results:
42.2km: Daina-Lee Osborn – 04:22:59, Raymond Khanyile – 04:28:24, Njabulo Langa – 04:42:26, Ricky Pillay – 04:58:34 and Zibuyile Langa had a tough day out, but still finished.

21.1km: Nicole Pretorius – 01:54:30, Roshen Anandlal – 01:54:30 and Prishantha Anandlal – 02:32:50.

Some of the trail athletes took on the challenge of the Tala Trail Run. Lindsey Albers, Brett Louw and Ewoud Grobler went for the 30km, with Lindsey finishing in ninth place. Rhonwyn Brayley finished the 20km, and Kayleigh Albers did the 10km.

Mez Kennedy completed the 36km Magoebas Trail Run in Limpopo last weekend. He stated that the route was extremely tough and technical.
