Golf remains one of the world’s most popular sports, and a key strategy for business networking and engagement.
The KZN South Coast, known colloquially as ‘The Golf Coast’, is home to 11 different courses with a backdrop of ocean views, coastal forests and sunny skies.
“Golf continues to provide businesses of all sizes with an ideal space to combine recreation with valuable networking opportunities,” explained Deborah Ludick of South Coast Tourism & Investment Enterprise (SCTIE).
“On the KZN South Coast, we not only have a wide variety of courses to suit every budget and handicap, but we also have the necessary accommodation offerings, conference facilities, restaurants and outdoor adventure that make this the perfect breakaway from the mundane office space.”
The selection of golf courses on the South Coast provides a wide variety of 9- and 18-hole courses, ranging from links to championship courses.
Some of the best golf courses on the South Coast include Umkomaas Golf Club, Scottburgh Golf Club, Selborne Park Golf Estate (Pennington), Umdoni Park Golf Club, Port Shepstone Country Club, Harding Country Club, Margate Country Club, Southbroom Golf Club, San Lameer Golf Course (San Lameer Estate – Marina Beach), Port Edward Country Club and Wild Coast Sun Country Club.
Arguably one of the most renowned courses in the region is Wild Coast Sun Country Club which is consistently rated as a top 10 course in South Africa and forms part of the South African PGA circuit with a par 70 card rating.
However, this is just one of many exceptional courses from the coastline inland to the farming village of Harding.
