KINGFISHER BA
The 2024 novice singles tournament was incredibly well supported and shows a bright future for local clubs and district.
KBA president Bruce Burt congratulated all those that took part.
“To those who have now played their last tournament as novices, good bowling in the future. And to those who played their first, see you next year.”
Winners were Mark Kassner (Riverside) and Linda Upfold (Sezela).
Runners-up were Barry Anderson (Sezela) and Ermi Joubert (The Bell).
Sharing third place after being eliminated in the semi-finals were Clinton Knott (The Bell), Jesse Adkins (Widenham), Marian Knott (The Bell) and Susan Terblanche (Sezela).

THE BELL
Well done to Ermi Joubert on taking silver at the recent KBA ladies’ novices and to Marian Knott for coming joint third.
Clinton Knott also came joint third in the men’s novices.
Winners of the Harbourview open trips played last Friday were Robbie Duyts, with Hans and Dina van der Walt.
In second were Barry Krause with Charmaine and Louw Vermeulen.
Third were Hew Hodgson, Jimmy Holtshauzen and Roy Matkovich.
Good bowling to all players going away this week to represent KBA in the inter districts being played next week. Travel safely and enjoy.

TWENI
Winners of the recent Harbourview Superspar mixed pairs were Jim Vaughan and Glenda Snyman.
Runners-up were Dick and Jing Eltringham.
Session went to Tony Aveyard and Rosemary Ludwig.
The 3rd Avenue/The Meat Joint mixed fours on February 19 was won by Albert Munnik, Alida Munnik, Bez Bezuidenhout and Bubbles Bezuidenhout.
Runners-up were Artur Lopes, Monica Middlewick and Jim Vaughn.
Session prize went to Kevin Mullen, Tony Aveyard, Larraine Harris and Ermie Joubert.

HIBBERDENE
The nominated trips competition on February 22, sponsored by Re/Max was won by Alex Bukes, Nossie Patterson and Neil Patterson.
Runners-up were Albert Munnik, Alida Munnik and Andries du Toit.
Session prize went to Rienie Blignault, Bruce Hoyer and Joey Venter.

MARGATE
The Food Lover’s Market open 2-4-2 on February 23 was won by Maureen and Wayne Muller.
Runners-up were Martiens Olivier and Donnovan Mulder.
Second session went to Ian Hutton and Trixi Smith. Lucky draw was won by Greg Bosch.

PORT EDWARD
The Tiago’s Power Pairs on February 23 was won by Johan Visser and Edith Button.
Second place went to Lyn Walton and Ken Simm, with third going to Bruce Lund and Pat Brand Lyle.
