Solid scores at Margate CC

The hot weather hasn't kept the players away.

The recent 100 Club was won by Des Potts on nett 71 by two from Kim Howden, Robin Shuttleworth and Johann Erasmus.
Two-clubs were carded by Robin Shuttleworth and Poen Olivier.

In the ladies’ section, winners were Dawn Howden, Sandi Johnston and Suzette Olivier on 74 points.
Runners-up were Renet van Biljon, Agnes Spielman and Grace Fourie on 73 points.
Renet had the only two-club, on the 11th.

There were some good scores on the Saturday, with Sandi Johnston and Anika Mulder winning the competition on 46 points.
They were one ahead of Renet van Biljon and Grace Fourie on 45 points, and two ahead of Suzette Olivier and Connie McArthur on 44 points.

In the men’s Club Meat competition, winners were Conrad Boonzaier and Len Wilmans on 46 points, followed by Kim Howden and Des Potts on 45 points.
Nearest the pins were Greg Eayrs (8th) and Kim Howden (11th).
Barry Oehme had the only two-club on the day.

The Wobblers’ game was won by Hans Dallinger, Dave Morrison and John Ford on 82 points, counting out Dave Hepworth’s fourball.

In third place on 74 points were Brian Jefferys, André Henn and Wayne Minnaar.
The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Wimpie Jordaan, Hans Beilhartz and Johan Human on 68 points.
Dave Hepworth had a two-club on the 4th, while Marcus Donovan was nearest-the-pin on the 4th.
