7-hole special for Southbroom

Snacks and refreshments awaited the players.

Southbroom Golf Club tried something a little different with a Sunday 7-hole special.
It was played as an individual Stableford and won by Precious Mkhungo on 16 points.

Four players carded 15 points, namely Martin Hutton, Oliver Kok, Gjertrud Kok and Michelle van der Hoek.
Next on 14 points were Glynis Hutton and Chris Huber, followed by Anton Leal, Tracey van der Spuy and Christer Solgevik on 13 points.

Golfers teed off on the 4th, then played the 6th, 7th and 8th, before teeing off from the 9th tee but playing towards the 2nd, then the 3rd and finally finishing up on the 4th tee, where snacks and refreshments awaited.
The ladies’ alliance last Wednesday was won by Louise Leal, Precious Mkhungo, Candida Amm and Di Morris on 70 points.

Runners-up were Cynthia Daniels, Shelley Myers, Annie Bruwer and Jeanette Peyios on 67 points.
In the men’s competition, winners were Mike Lig, Bruce Begley, Rob Meydell and Derek James on 79 points, by four from Roger Hissey, Roy Deakins, Andrew Wager and Urs Diethelm on 75 points.

The Saturday alliance was won by Mike Lig, Rob Meydell, Chris Miller and Olliver Ransome on 84 points, by one from Urs Diethelm, Bruce Begley, Peter and Ross Kupisiewicz on 83 points.
In third place on 82 points were Werner Duggan, Neill Crossey, Christer Solgevik and Marius Santos.
Fourth place went to Cynthia Daniels, Precious Mkhungo and Solange Fox on 81 points.
Chicken Run: Hans Kok 19 points, Brian Jolliffe 17 points, James Carlsen 16 points.
