Greenkeeper’s revenge at Margate

The greenkeeper had golfers scratching their heads.

The Greenkeeper’s Revenge – played as a betterball multiplication – took place at Margate Country Club last Saturday and was won by Wayne Wridgway and Kevin du Toit on 64 points.

In second place on 59 points were Kreeson Naicker and Neolin Naidoo. Two-clubs went to Chippy Louw and Johan Human.

Kim Howden was nearest the pin on the 8th and John Evans on the 16th.
The 100-Club last Tuesday was won by Des Potts on 40 points.
Runner-up was Frik van Zyl on 38 points, with Mike Jones knocking in the only two-club of the day.

In the ladies’ competition, the winning team comprised Connie McArthur, Una McLachlan and Wondra Bothma, on 79 points.
Agnes Spielmann had a two-club.

Thursday’s meat competition was won by Johan Stolz on 37 points, with Poen Olivier next on 34 points.
Nearest the pins were Johan Stolz (8th) and Angus McLachlan (11th).
