Dream golf at Margate CC

There were two sponsored days held at the club during the week, plus the Southern KZN Open.

Margate Country Club hosted the Liberty Reach for a Dream golf day last Tuesday.
It was won by Schalk Oosthuizen, Poen Olivier, Johann Erasmus and Frik van Zyl on 92 points.

Runners-up on 86 points were Dawn Howden, Sandi Johnston, Kim Howden and Des Potts.
Nearest the pins: Barry Oehme (4th), Joe Espach (11th). Longest drive: Shane Nel (5th), Musa Khumalo (15th).

On Saturday there was another big day, this time the Ons Plek Suidkus Pre-Primary School golf day.
This was won on 45 points by Marius Bergh and Armand Grobler.

There were three pairs on 43 points, namely Arthur Ehlert and Peter McCarthy, Frik van Zyl and Poen Olivier, as well as Gitesh Maharaj and Elton Chetty.

Fifth place went to Una McLachlan and Hannetjie Pretorius on 42 points.

Nearest the pins: Poen Olivier (11th), Jannie Janse van Vuuren (2nd), Anika Mulder (8th), Elton Chetty (16th).
Longest drive on 15th: Cathy Meyer and Gitesh Maharaj.

The Wobblers game last Wednesday was won by Rolf Spielmann, Freddie Boshoff and Danie Brummer on 82 points.

Runners-up were Hans Dallinger, Bob Weanie and Keith Pearson on 76 points.
In third place on 74 points were Dave Hepworth, Dave Morrison and Eddie Gomersall.

The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Frank Merrill, André Henn and Brian Jefferys on 72 points.
Two-clubs: Johan Human (2) and Thys Bothma.
