From the Bowling greens

News and results from South Coast bowling clubs.

KINGFISHER BA
Terrance McGlynn (RSC) and Lindi Samuel (Hibberdene) are the winners of the KBA Masters.
Runners-up were Glen Hatfield and Liesje de Rosner. Bronze went to Albert Munnik, Andre Maulgue, Annatjie Kidd and Johannie Theron.
The KBA men’s sevens was won by Hibberdene with The Bell second. The women’s event was won by The Bell. In second place was Port Edward and joint third went to The Bell and Riverside.

UMTENTWENI
Winners of the Tweni Pharmacy men’s pairs bowls were Don Russouw and Vic Holder.
Runners-up were Peter von Brandis and Jim Vaughn.
Session prize was won by Bob Moroney and Mike Schmidt.

MARGATE
Food Lover’s Market open trips winners were Ernie Southward, Theo Vorster and Mike Dunn.
Runners-up were Trevor Heywood, Hylton Cannon and Mervyn Barratt.
Second session winners were André van Niekerk, Johan du Preez and Jeanne Gregori.
Lucky draw was won by Yvonne Bausek.

HIBBERDENE
Winners of the drawn mix trips, sponsored by Hibberdene Pharmacy, were Jan Oosthuizen, Hester Boshoff and Shirley Rossouw.
In second place were Marco Pillani, Brian Mertz and Tillie du Toit.
Session went to Bez Bezuidenhout, Elize Duvenage and Jynie Swanepoel.
A reminder that the club will be closed till around November 26.
Next competition will be on Friday, December 1 and it will be a drawn trips, sponsored by Re/Max at 14:00.

THE BELL
Congratulations to Sharolyn Dacey, Desiree Krause, Gail Newby, Dina van der Walt, Tammy Gibbons, Lyn Harris and Amanda Taylor on winning gold in the Sevens league.
Louw Vermeulen, Leon Sander, Jimmy Holtshauzen, Steve O’Moore, Claude Ching, Ryan Keys and Louw Brits won silver for the men.
Maureen Head, Jan Purdon, Rosemarie Ludwig, Gerda Clark, Johannie Theron, Charmaine van der Westhuizen and Yvonne James won bronze for the ladies.
Well done to Johannie Theron for coming joint third in the Masters.
