Netball Lovers Club hosted a netball tournament at Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre recently. What was supposed to be a cloudy day soon changed into sunshine and it was smiles and goals all day long!
With categories such as the ladies over 35, ladies open, men’s and mixed, players came from far to participate in this great event.
The competition was tough and these teams showed what they are made of.
With locals singing next to the courts, gazebos and braais on the go, it was almost like a festival.
Even though everyone played like champs, the winners are:
In the mixed team, first place went to Blue from Gamalakhe and second to White, also from Gamalakhe.
In the ladies over 35, first place went to Legends with Netball Lovers in second.
The ladies open finals was unfortunately rained out, but according to the scores the winners were Future Stars with Eagles Netball in second.
