A group of both development and elite athletes travelled to Bloemfontein recently to compete in the highly anticipated combined KSA Development Championships and Elite League Championships.
Karateka from the Ugu region, once again, did the region proud by bringing back medals in both the development and elite components of the tournament.
Bringing back medals for the development tournament were:
Tristan Scott (gold kumite and silver kata), Tristan Appalaraju (bronze kata and bronze kumite), Joey Cowin (bronze kata), Neriah Peeriyalal (silver kata and bronze kumite), Brigitta Thaumulluer (gold kata and silver kumite).
In the elite division the following athlete’s received medals: Blake Hogan (gold kumite), Tyler Hogan (silver U21 kata and bronze senior kata).
Congratulations to all the athletes. Their hard work has certainly paid off once again.
