News and results from South Coast bowling clubs.

PORT SHEPSTONE
A social day to raise funds for floodlights was held at the club recently.
Clint Kendall (main sponsor) and Guy Payn (poles) were thanked for their valuable contributions as sponsors.
The group, a friendly bunch who play on a Friday twice a month, have long mooted the idea of playing during the week in the evenings, especially in the holiday season.
Hence the idea to raise the funds to organise lights.
During the fundraiser they had a lot of fun, or course, with one of the highlights being the playing of the spider – where everyone bowls once from the side and closest to the jack wins. In this case it was Juan van Tichelen.

HIBBERDENE
The drawn mixed trips, sponsored by Warwick Wealth, was won by Robert Singery, Cheryl Knight and Hester Boshoff.
Second place went to Marco Pallini, Hennie van Jaarsveld and Pauline Howle.
Johan Labuschagne, Judy Hoyer and Judy Aisten took third place. Most touchers went to Alex Bukes.

SOUTHBROOM
The Tiago’s men’s trips winners were Manny Rodrigues, Trevor Heywood and Bill Eccles.
Runners-up were Glyn Evans, Ossie Osborne and Declan Sparks.
First session went to Jeff Cronje, Norman Davies and André Lourens.
Second session went to Heiner Wolber, Harry Devenish and Rhett Butler.

MARGATE
Winners of the Food Lover’s Market open 2-4-2 were Mike Prinsloo and Hugo Pio.
