Junior karateka earn yellow belts

The yellow belt platform is described as the stepping stone for karateka to evolve to adulthood.

Another exciting karate event was held at the Ippon Dojo at Relton Hall, Pennington last week.
Sensei Stephen Kentridge’s juniors were graded 9th kyu and 8th kyu yellow belts.

“As a Sensei I grade not just the technical aspects of the Shotokan Syllabus, there are many aspects of our karate journey which is in fact in perpetuity,” he said.

“A life time of study, it promotes great health, eye co-ordination, discipline, ethics and integrity.”

Well done to all students.
