‘Howzat’ as mini cricket gets under way

The programme is free and open to all children.

The KFC Mini-Cricket programme launched by the Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy is proving to be a huge success.
Woodcrest Academy joined the programme last week.

The Saturday morning programme at the Scottburgh Country Club attracted a large number of budding cricketers which saw over 40 children participate.
Head coach Clinton Moodley said the KFC Mini-Cricket programme is gathering momentum.

“We are glad to see parents bringing their children to the ground and involved in this beautiful game. Participation in cricket develops all kinds of skills such as hand-eye coordination, dexterity, team work, motivation, discipline and obviously keeps you fit and healthy,” added Clinton.

The programme is free and open to any child – male or female. So if you are interested in joining, head over to the Scottburgh Country Club, 1 Airth Street, Scottburgh from 08:00 to 09:00 or contact Clinton on 082 6281462 for more information.

Woodcrest Academy cricketers join in on the fun.
