Great turnout for sponsored golf day

Saturday is the P&G Construction sponsored day.

With August now upon us, with the winds picking up and it still being a bit nippy, there was a low turnout for last Wednesday’s individual Stableford.

Brian Richards didn’t mind as he scored 33 points to win on a count out from Griet Viviers.
Don’t do it this week Brian as today (Wednesday) is Women’s Day.

The Umthunzi Hotel and Conference Centre was the sponsor for last Saturday’s game. It was a much better turnout with quite a few visitors also vying to win this prestigious event.
However, it was local yokel Geoff Thommasen who will be taking Jean for a two-night stay with his 39 point winning score.

Deane Jooste will take an overnight stay for his second placed 33 points which counted out Russel Freeman for third and a couple of bottles of wine.
Bob Hall collected nearest the pin, with John Mills taking the second, Org Viviers the tenth and Deena Govender the seventeenth.
John and Deena rolled in their efforts for a 2 club each and R100. One of our visitors didn’t go away empty-handed as the captain presented Gert van Tonder with the Stone, receiving R10 in reply.

The public holiday is set for a betterball Stableford getting us ready for this Saturday’s P&G Construction sponsored day.

Flyer’s footnote: The only thing you should force in a golf swing is the club back into the bag.
