Kim, Des win meat at Margate

The course is looking good for winter.

The Meat Competition at Margate Country Club last Saturday was won by Kim Howden and Des Potts on 52 points, enjoying the betterball Scramble Drive.
Runners-up were Thys Bothma and Hans Beilhartz on 48 points.
Two-clubs were carded by John Ford and Sbu Ntozakhe.

Nearest the pins were Robert Mavundla (8th) and Alan Davies (16th).
The ladies’ competition last Tuesday was won on 83 points by Wondra Bothma, Jane Davies and Dawn Howden.
Two points behind were Una Mclachlan, Lizzy Meyer and Hannetjie Pretorius.

Sunday’s mixed alliance was won by Heleen and Rodger Hissey, Roy Deacon and Rina Rito, on 92 points.
One point behind were Una and Angus Mclaghlan, Shannon Gottlieb and Barend Joubert.
Nearest the pins were Len Wilmans (8th) and Barend Joubert (11th).
The Wobblers enjoyed their usual game last Wednesday, which was won by Marcus Donovan, Hans Dallinger and Eddie Gommersall on 76 points.

They counted out Bob Weanie, Johan Human and Hans Beilhartz, with Frank Merrill, Brian Jefferys and Freddie Boshoff in third place on 75 points.
The Arthur Tomlinson Floater, on 66 points, went to Dave Morrison, André Henn and Dave Boyd. Dave Morrison had the only two-club.
