Sarie and Hans win on points at Eagles monthly game

The next game is on July 4th.

Scottburgh Golf Club was the venue for this month’s Village Eagles golf game. The course is comparatively short and has five par 3 holes giving our closest to the pin prizes more opportunity.
Unfortunately, we had only one hole where there was a winner for closest to the pin, with all the other greens been missed on the four remaining holes, this could show the difficulty of the holes or maybe it was just us the players.

Winners (from left) Les Vince, Steve Stead, Alister Ferguson and Hans Brunings.

We had 60 players in attendance on a beautiful cool morning with the wind coming up later in the day. The golf course was in very good condition, with fast greens, thank you to all for the effort made.
Best lady was Sarie Hall on 34 individual points and Hans Brunings took the men’s prize on 41 points. The winners on the day were Les Vince, Alister Ferguson, Hans Brunings and Steve Stead on an alliance score of 92 points.

The longest day went to (from left) Norman Hall, Sarie Hall, Dave Whitfield and Barrie Ainslie.

The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy was Barrie Ainslie, Dave Whitfield, Sarie Hall and Norman Hall on 72 points. The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Trevor Bell.
Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Derek Hodge was the master and this was once again well supported.

The next game will be held at Selbourne on July 4, see you all there.
