Festive vibe at Margate CC

The weekly competitions have been keenly contested.

Craig Rademan won the individual Stableford at Margate Country Club last Thursday on 38 points, two ahead of Willem Herselman on 36 points.

Nearest the pin – Rob Weyer (4th), Graeme Massam (11th). Two-clubs – Kim Howden.

Saturday’s alliance was won on 96 points by Juan Dixon, FC de Beer, Chippy Louw and Pierre Ackerman.
They counted out Kim Howden, Des Potts, Poen Olivier and Johann Erasmus.
Nearest the pin – Juan Dixon (2nd) and Barend Joubert (16th).
Bullseye – Juan Dixon. Longest drive – Daniel Muller. Putting – Kevin Oxenham (eight shots).

The 100-Club last Tuesday was won by Danie Brummer on 37 points by two from Johann Erasmus.
The Wobblers teed it up last Wednesday. Winners on 90 points were John Ford, Dave Boyd and André Henn.
Runners-up on 85 points were Marcus Donovan, Frank Merrill and Eddie Gommersall.
Third place on 83 points went to Nico van Vuuren, Thys Bothma and Danie Brummer.
The Arthur Tomlinson floater went to Johan Human, Hans Beilhartz and Dave Morrison on 75 points.
Two-clubs – Hennie Boshoff (16th). Nearest the pin – Hennie Boshoff (8th).

The ladies’ competition last Tuesday was won on 32 points by Wilna Olkers, with Grace Fourie second on 30 points.
Two-club – Wilna Olkers (11th), Grace Fourie (16th).

Saturday was the Connie’s Day betterball for the women, won by Lizzy Meyer and Hannetjie Pretorius on 45 points, six ahead of Wondra Bothma and Wilna Olkers on 39 points. Next were Suzette Olivier and Lesley Erasmus on 38 points.
