Karate champ needs financial help

He is well on his way to winning his Protea colours and realise his lifelong dream of representing his country on the world stage.

Jayden Forster is a rapidly rising champion in the South African karate world and like a number of his counterparts of the South Coast sporting world, he’s on track for national colours and ultimately, the Olympics.

But Jayden from Margate is way more than a dedicated sportsman. He is a shining example of the very best that humanity can be, a totally committed man who believes unreservedly that he will always get up even when he can’t.

At the young age of seven, he was diagnosed with a rare disease, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and his doctors told him that he would never be able to participate in sport in his life.

It is now seven years on, and at a mature 14 years of age, Jayden holds a brown belt and continues to display a raw determination and desire to be the best that he can be. The chairman of the WKF Ugu region says he is an exceptional karateka with a natural talent.
During the past year, he collected a gold medal at the Regional Ugu Karate Tournament, and gold at the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Championships as well as another at the Salsa games. He is well on his way to winning his Protea colours and realise his lifelong dream of representing his country on the world stage.

Jayden is the only son of Genevieve Forster, an equally hardworking and dedicated single parent who has made sure that they could afford the journey so far, but the time has come when he needs a financial sponsor, prepared to back this champion on his way to the top.

Jayden needs an approximate amount of R50 300 to continue his participation on the 2023 Karate circuit which equally, offers an ideal opportunity for a company to identify with and endorse his phenomenal courage and determination, and take the young man under its wing for now and possibly even further into the future.

Interested parties are invited to contact Jayden and Genevieve Forster on 079 5631323.
