Stunning scores at Southbroom GC

Club champs is coming up on March 4 and 5.

The Nashua Business Day at Southbroom Golf Club recently was won on an astonishing score of 105 points by Anton Leal, Grant Abbott, Mike Lig and Bruce Begley.
The format was two scores to count, with three on the par threes.
Way behind in second place on 93 points were Gary Purtell, Nicky Smith, Jean-Marc Bouic and David Rush.
Third spot on 92 points went to Johan Neethling, Piet Fourie, George Nagel and Chris Nel on 92 points.
In fourth place on 91 points were Mike Anthony, Matt Cowley, Jan Roos and Julian Smith.
There was an excellent field, with golfers enjoying the pizza and draft promotion afterwards.

Jill O’Callaghan won the Cora Hicks Medal on nett 68 last Wednesday, six ahead of Michelle van der Hoek, who was one ahead of Gjertrud Kok 75 nett
The men’s Wednesday comp was won by Rob Meydell on nett 68.
Stableford winner was Werner Duggan on 37 points, with Emil Hierhold, Kevin Boxall and Mike Lig all recording 36 points.

Saturday’s competition was affected by rain, but some diehards played anyway.
In the end, the Individual Stableford was won by Gavin Sole on 34 points, one ahead of his son Graham.
Brian Jolliffe was third on 31 points.
