Tayne reaps rewards in sprint finish

It's time to swap bikes for books, but only for a while.

Tayne Rudling’s excellent MTB season just got better with a win at the Tsogo Sun Amashova Cycle Race (106km category) last weekend.

It was a dramatic ending, with Tayne seeing off William Klokie in a sprint finish, with Kuven Mudly in third place.

For the first time the event awarded prize money to the top finishers in the MTB race, seeing a spike in rider entries, with more of the same expected next year.

Tayne now will focus on studying for exams, and then look forward to the Central Berg Running & MTB Challenge on November 13.

This will be his last race in the Roag Series for the year.
