All smiles for Mug winner Darryl

There have been some excellent scores posted.

The D’Arcy Dental Monthly Mug at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday was won by the sponsor himself, Darryl, who was rather delighted with his score of 77.

He won the mug on nett 70, as well as having the best gross.

The A division was won by Cameron Olivant on nett 72, two ahead of Paul Geoffery.

B division honours went to Charles Hulley on nett 72, with Paul Bunge next on nett 75.

Lionel Peters won the C division on nett 71, three ahead of Graham Dickson.

Nick Wattrus won the Stableford on 37 points, two ahead of Riaan Ahrens.

In other news, Paul Geoffery and Nick Wattrus represented KwaZulu-Natal at the Windhoek International Pairs at Riviera on the Vaal in Vereeniging recently, where they placed fourth.

After the first day, they were lying fourth and so went off as the second last fourball.

After 16 holes on day two, there were tied for second and a point away from first place.

All the scores were live on Score Capture so they were able to see the scoreboard.

Sadly, they made zero points on the 17th and one on the 18th to slip back to fourth.

The top two pairs will travel to Spain to represent South Africa.

Back home, Rob Vogt and Bevis Fairbrother won the combined Stableford last Wednesday on 72 points.

Runners-up were Gavin van Wyk and Charles Hulley on 70 points, with Gary Vogt and a pivot next on 69 points.

The Halfway Ford Business Day last Friday was won by Graham Dickson, Chris Boyce, Tinus Pretorius and Rob Calder on 84 points, counting out Eddie Ringo, Tony Fairbairn, Jesse Verster and Terry Yannikakis.

In third place on 80 points were Sidney Shingange, Paul Bunge, Barry Oehme and Casper (the ghost).
