Selborne’s course challenges Village Eagles

The next game is on May 2.

Selbourne Golf Club is an intimidating and magnificent golf course in a very pleasant setting.

The course is challenging with plenty of water, hence very high a lost ball count of 149. The Village Eagles had 58 players in attendance on a beautiful morning. The golf course was in very good condition. Thank you to all for the effort made.

The longest day went to Billy Adam, Dave Whitfield, Kas van der Merwe and Denis Middlemiss.

Best lady was Kathy Kamstra on 35 individual points and Trevor Bell took the men’s prize on 38 points.

The winners on the day were Ian Baird, Rob Bowman, Cecil Smith and Carl Mau on an alliance score of 83 points. The longest day and colleting the Stones Trophy was Kas van der Merwe, Dave Whitfield, Billy Adam and Denis Middlemiss on 70 points.

Winners (from left) Carl Mau, Cecil Smith, Ian Baird and Rob Bowman.

The results were calculated by Stan Sim, Trevor Bell and Eddie Mathews – I thank you all for the effort.
Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Derek Hodge was the master and this was once again well-supported.

Our next game will be held at Umkomaas on May 2. See you all there.

STAN SIM
