Golfers can still enter Sardine Run tournament

The course is drying out nicely with just a few damp areas, so please avoid them if using a cart.

Let’s put one rumour to bed straight away: the Low Flyer has not joined the Saudi LIV league, he prefers to play at his club of choice – Scottburgh.

Sardines have been spotted and making their way up the coast and with a bit of luck should be here for our Annual Sardine Run tournament later this month. The draw for the tournament has been made and available in the office. There are a couple of gaps just in case of late entries.

Wednesday’s betterball Stableford was won by Brian Richards and Graham Brown with 43 points. Four points further back came Tony Moore and Bob Hall on 39. Rod James one of the original committee of the Sardine Run came along, and with Mikhail van Brakel didn’t go away empty handed as they were presented with our own trophy aka Stone Last.

There were some good scores in the Friday Five pin with Arno Scoring 13 points with Leon van Zyl running him close with 12.

It was P&G Construction time on Saturday thanks to Paul Tedder and is wife Gina.

Doc Mahabeer and Barry Kisten scored 41 to win by one from John Mills and Graham Brown on 40. Doc keeping the wins in the family after Nivash’s win last week.

In third spot were Bluff visitors Atholl van der Merwe and Brian Olsen on 39.

The course is drying out nicely with just a few damp areas, so please avoid them if using a cart.

Flyer’s footnote: There’s no secret to putting, just hit it – the ball either misses or goes in, simple.
