Sponsors needed to fund lifesavers’ trip to champs

This includes T-shirts, hoodies, beach towels and more.

The Scottburgh Surf Lifesaving Club‘s lifeguards will be competing at KZN champs in a month’s time, and at SA champs at the end of April.

This is a great opportunity for volunteer lifeguards to represent the club against some of the biggest clubs on the East Coast, such as Marine or Durban Surf.

Scottburgh’s club is desperately trying to find sponsors to help with the funding of their trip to Port Elizabeth (accommodation, bus tickets, etc.) and for specially branded kits for the competitions.

This includes T-shirts, hoodies, beach towels and more.

“We are very happy to have 16 boys and girls who have entered the competition, so we would like to make it special for them,” said Morgane Petit, Scottburgh Surf Lifesaving Club secretary.

“About 95% of our lifeguards come from Amandawe or Umgababa and they don’t have a lot of resources, we know by experience that the kits mean a lot to them and make them even more proud to be part of Scottburgh Surf Lifesaving Club,” added Petit.

The club also requests local businesses to assist with donations.
