It’s all business at Southbroom Golf Club

There have been some excellent scores recorded.

BUSINESS day alliance at Southbroom Golf Club last Friday was won on 88 points by Bob O’Callaghan, Jill Webster, Ken and Alex Crawford. Runners-up were Allyson Thomas, Judy van der Veen, Leigh Dunsdon and ‘ghost’ on 87 points, counting out Erroll and Trish Amm, Dave and Eileen Neilson.

The Conservancy golf day last Saturday was won on 41 points by Werner Duggan and Pierre van der Walle, from three pairs on 39 points.

They were Jim Cook and Paul Lawson, Simon Shusha and Cyprian Xolo, as well as Tim D’Ewes and Alan Woods.

The previous Wednesday’s competition was won by Roger Hissey and Roy Deakins on 47 points, with four pairs sharing second place on 43 points.

They were Derrik and Bruce Matthew, Russell Mackenzie and Dave Fox, Gary Purtell and Clive Miller, and Malcolm Greenland and Derek James.

The women’s competition was won by Janet Humphrey and Jeanne Powell on 42 points, by two from Karen Bridgeford and Di Morris.
