Ugu Athletics Club runs smoothly

For the club to grow, unity amongst members must be maintained.

Speaking at the meeting, club president Adam Moosa reflected on 2018 and the successes of the club.

He mentioned that the Battle of Ramaloo Nandia Challenge was a highlight of the club’s achievements as it had elicited positive feedback from all sections of the local community.

“This success can be attributed to the dedication of UAC members. We worked as a team and put in a lot of hard work,” said Mr Moosa. He added that in future UAC was set to host many more race events, hopefully with similar success.

“In 2018, we held several fun runs and have had numerous requests to organise similar events on an annual basis. I’m sure our club is keen to do this as these runs are sure to attract future members to our club.”

Mr Moosa reiterated that UAC takes the races to the people, by holding events in various areas on the South Coast, and reminded the meeting that for the club to grow, unity among members would need to be maintained.
