Jigsaw jive from Ugu marathon runners

The runners are clocking some very good times.

Thirty four runners from Ugu Athletics Club took part in the recent Maritzburg Marathon, rated as one of the most popular races in the province.

Twenty six ran the full marathon, seven the half marathon and one the 10km race.

The performances were the best ever for the club with some excellent times for Michael Mzobe (2:50:55), Menzi Tshayize (2:51:51) and Xolani Mbhele (2:56:43).

Eight runners ran a three hour plus while 12 ran a four hour plus.

The club is expecting an impovement in the upcoming Deloitte & Touche Marathon on March 18.
