THE open alliance at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday had a format with a difference.
It was one score to count on par fours, two on par fives, three on par three and all on the 18th.
Winners were Russell Mackenzie, Nic van Deventer, Jannie and Jason Ackerman on 78 points.
Runners-up were Nice and Anne Faber, John and Maeve Mullane on 77 points, counting out Roger Phillips, Boris Barnard, Steve Wells and Emil Hierhold.
Last Saturday’s Swiss Day was won by Shelley Myers and Shirley Jeffery on 44 points.
Runners-up were Irene Schanda and Margaret Stoellinger on 43 points counting out Sharon Turnbull-Jackson and Lee Mutch.
Men’s winners were Mike Slade, Brian Richards, Jim DiMambro and Russell Johnson on 94 points.
Next were Paul Cole, Walter Robinson, Robin Braithwaite and Russell Mackenzie on 91 points, followed by Malcolm Moorley, Richard Derman, Tony Holness and Roger Phillips on 90 points.
Geoff Skelton won the Chicken Run last Friday on 20 points.
He was followed by Roger Phillips on 18 points, Chris Miller on 17 points and Russell Johnson on 16 points.
