Janet Humphrey finds top form at Southbroom Golf Club

The course is in wonderful condition.

JANET Humphrey counted out Lorraine Cook to win the women’s medal at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday. Heather Anderson was next on nett 81.

In the men’s comp, Derek James compiled a neat nett 71, three ahead of Roy Deakins and Malcolm Greenland.

Olliver Ransome won the Stableford on 37 points, with Roger Phillips and Phil Verwey next on 33 points.

Friday’s Union Motors open day saw Gordon Moody, Glen Usher, Kerry and Mari Fielden take first prize on 96 points.

Saturday’s Christa’s Champagne Day saw Helen Proctor and Joy Crutchfield card 45 points to pip Candida Amm and Karin Asbock by one.

Gordon Moody and Kerry Fielden were again on the podium, scoring 48 points to count out John Neaves and Jim Cook.
