John Rudling was next on 42 points, followed by Jim Finn on 41 points, with not even his hole-in-one on the 4th able to help grab the big money.
Fanie Terblanche was nearest the pin on the 16th.
Saturday’s Windhoek Lager International Pairs was won by Alan Davies and Arthur Ehlert on 45 points, on a countout from Frik van Zyl and Johan Erasmus.
In third place were Daniel Lubanyana and Patrick Mavundla on 44 points.

Nearest the pins went to Richard Whittington (4th) and Patrick Mavundla (16th).
The women’s comp was won by Margaret Ford and a ‘ghost’ on 42 points.
Second were Wondra Bothma and Ada Brits on 37 points, counting out Hilary Hendry and Anita Scheepers.
Joan Minnaar won the women’s comp last Tuesday on 40 points.
Tied for second on 37 points were Margaret Ford and Lesley Erasmus.
The Wobblers’ alliance saw Carl Zurfluh, Robert Henning and Otto Mutschler take first prize on 84 points, by one from Alan Davies, Richard Plaskitt and Dave Parsons.
In third place were Cyril Greensmith, Frank Merrill and Wimpie Jordaan on 79 points.
Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Piet Pretorius, Ken Norval and Rob McGill on 70 points.
