Asher is tops at Southcity

Southcity won by six wickets at the recent match against Hillcrest.

SOUTHCITY Senior Primary held an exciting, competitive gala last Friday.

Great camaraderie and spirit was evident and strong war cries reverberated. Colourful banners fluttered and pupils donned interesting outfits for the day.

Levi won the spirit cup and Asher house is congratulated on taking the final honours.

Southcity went in to bat first (Jason Marx 50 not out, Gareth Pieterse 49) at the first team T20 cricket match against Creston last Thursday.

Creston’s U15 team batted first and scored 53 for 4 (Tyren Fisher 2 for 10 in 4 overs) before the match was rained out. The first team bowled Hillcrest’s first team out for 69 in 15 overs and Southcity won by six wickets at their match.

The U15A team scored 88 all out and the second team lost their match.
