SEVEN Southcity pupils represented KZN hockey and netball during the recent school holidays. Lona Nonkonyana (KZN U18 netball) played the interprovincial tournament in Boksburg. Katlego Ramerobi (KZN U16 netball) played the interprovincial tournament in Vanderbijlpark. Gareth Pieterse (Durban) and Rebecca Nero (Kroonstad) played KZN Coastals U14 hockey. Gareth was initially selected as a field player, but when the team goalkeeper was injured during the first match, Gareth volunteered and played the rest of the tournament as goalkeeper. Qhama Nyathi and Sinethemba Nyathi (KZN Coastals U12 hockey) played in the interprovincial tournament in Bloemfontein and Simphiwe Mfeka (KZN Coastals U13 hockey) played in the U13 interprovincial tournament.
