Heather and Nina fare well at shows

Michelle Howard and Sebastian won ‘Best junior in show’ and ‘Reserve best on show, overall for the day’.

KZNDAA held its open show in Scottburgh recently and many of the South Coast handlers fared very well. Many thanks to judges Deanna Hewer and Mike Eisler for their time. Michelle Howard and Sebastian fared brilliantly to win ‘Best junior in show’ and ‘Reserve best on show, overall for the day’.

Results: Contact, grade 3, large – Deryn and Barbara Egan, second; Swift and Gail Taylor, third. Medium – Page and Heather Moorcroft, second; Mindy and Bernice Smit, third. Small – Spice and Gail Taylor, first, Tessa and Heather Moorcroft, second, Kajun and Karen Salus, third. Grade 2, large – Glitz and Ninette Smith, second. Medium – Miko and Elsie Pretorius, first; small – Chloe and Sheldene Smit, first, Hash and Barbara Egan, third. Grade 1 – Quinn and Barbara Egan, second; small – Tabitha and Sue MacNab, third.

Zululand Kennel Club breed show (held in Pinetown): Sue MacNab, Terrier group, West Highland white terriers; champion and international champion, Milo – import (UK); best of breed and first in terrier group. Tickle – import (New Zealand), reserve best of breed and first junior in terrier group.

Michelle Howard, Toy dog group – Chinese crested, Sebby: best of breed, first junior in toy group; first in toy group; best junior on show and reserve best in show overall. Layla: Reserve best of breed in toy group. Squash: Best puppy in toy group.

Heather Moorcroft: Gundog group – English cocker spaniel, Gelani Naima (Nina) – Best of breed, first junior in group, third in gundog group and reserve best junior on show.

Chelsey McGovern: First, junior handler, herding group, Australian shepherd, Fyre – best veteran in breed and herding group.
