Top dog Romulus proves it

Chelsey McGovern took first place in the junior handler category.

MANY South Coast dogs cover more than one discipline, which results in some having to choose what they want to do. The Border Collie Show for agility, carting and obedience was recently held at Hutchinson Park, Amanzimtoti, and the Highway Kennel Club held a breed show in Ashley, Pinetown.

Breed: Sue Macnab and puppy Tickle (Whitebriar Just Tickle Me at Freezeland (Import New Zealand) aged 8 months) won best West Highland puppy and best of breed in the terrier group. She then went on to win best puppy on show for the day overall, under judges Yvonne Ferreries and Edith Hogg. What an amazing achievement.

Michelle Howard and her Chinese crested dogs had outstanding results once again and Aurispa Sebastian of LaLunaBlu won best male puppy and sister Aurispa Minna Moo at LaLunaBlu won best puppy in the toy group. BleuDragon Pokemon won best of breed in the toy dog group and

Christeen McGovern won best of breed with her Australian shepherd Kaleidostar (America’s next top model of Solarflare, import Hungary).

Fyre (Kenstaff Feel the Heat Fyre) won reserve best of breed and best veteran in the herding group. Chelsey McGovern once again went on to prove that she is on her way to greatness by taking first place in the junior handler category with Fyre.
