SOUTH Coast Dogs have been very busy between the KwaZulu-Natal championship, the show held at the Royal Show Grounds in Pietermaritzburg, as well as three championship shows, namely Hibiscus Kennel Club, Natal Working and Herding and Margate Kennel Club.
Well done to Ninette Smith’s Australian shepherd Ozz, the only large dog to place in the KZN champ show. Small and medium dogs fared better with seven placings over three disciplines. Bernice Smit and Mindy were the only combination to place in all three events. The club is very proud of Jean Whittaker’s dog Landy who, although entering his golden years, still really loves agility and placed third in the small contact category.
