Women do well in Pietermaritzburg

AT the annual SA Masters tournament, being held this week at the Wanderers in Johannesburg, Kingfisher Bowls is being represented by Ellen Cawker, Liesje de Rosner and Eddie Fann.

At the recent quadrangular tournament held in Pietermaritzburg between the bowling districts of KwaZulu-Natal, the Kingfisher women performed very well. The ‘open’ and ‘B’ sides each won three matches, earning them six points apiece. The seniors won all their matches earning eight points. The president’s women’s team also achieved seven points and, as a result of all the combined efforts, Kingfisher ended runners-up to Port Natal with 27 points in the women’s event. Unfortunately the men finished at the bottom of the ladder.

Will all competitors for the KBA singles and pairs check with their clubs as to where they are drawn to play.
