Shiro and Miko are going places

There are so many new handlers and dogs, making the lower grades more competitive.

SOUTH Coast Agility Dogs travelled to Ashley Sports Grounds in Pinetown and took part in the well attended North Coast Open Dog Show recently.

There are so many new handlers and dogs starting this wonderful sport, making the lower grades (namely gr 1 contact, non-contact and dog jumping 2, 4 and 6) more and more competitive. A special mention is made of Elsie Pretorius and her two poodles, Shiro and Miko who are definitely going places, fast.

Dogs in Action : Contact – Gr 3 large: Sage and Barbara Egan, second. Small: Shiro and Elsie Pretorius, first; Sophie and Gail Taylor, second; Roxy and Irmgard Botes, third.

Gr 2 small: Hash and Barbara Egan, first. Gr 1 large: Xena and Irmgard Botes, first. Non-contact – Gr 3 small: Shiro and Elsie Pretorius, first; Landy and Jean Whittaker, second. Gr 2: Hash and Barbara Egan, second.

Dog jumping – Gr 1: Deryn and Barbara Egan, second; Spark and Gail Taylor, third. Gr 3: Shiro and Elsie Pretorius, first. Gr 2: Xena and Irmgard Botes, second. Gr 4: Miko and Elsie Pretorius, first. Gr 6: Selvey and Marissa Botes, first.
