Swift takes the title in tight finish

Top five dogs finish within points of each other.

SOUTH Coast agility dogs recently took part in Working and Herding and the Bluff Dog Club championship shows held at Ashley in Pinetown.

Although the show goers encountered terrible weather and really stiff competition, great fun was had by all.

The higher grade large dog events were really exciting, particularly the jumping, as the top five dogs all finished blistering rounds within points of a second of each other. Gail Taylor and her dog Swift from Dogs in Action finally proved themselves to be the undisputed stars claiming first place along with a championship certificate.

Also well done to Elsie Pretorius and Shiro, Jean Whittaker with Landy, Zella and Kuifje (from Dogs in Action) Ann Shaw with Buffy (Pumula Agility Dogs) for their places at the above shows.

Last weekend South Coast dogs were again in action in the Natal Gun Dog open show, this time at Scottburgh Country Club, one of their favourite venues.

The weather was superb and the courses fast and fun. Obviously perfect for Ann Shaw from Pumula Agility Dogs as she and her dogs put on a really good show, earning many places.
