SOUTH Coast dogs had a host of events to take part in at the Natal Border Collie Open Show held at Hutchinson Park Amanzimtoti last weekend.
There was breed for Border collies, obedience, carting, dog jumping and agility and despite the rather strong wind, an enjoyable day was had by all.
Bernice Smit and Mindy were awarded a second in elementary obedience and Jean Whittaker with Zella had a very successful day in the breed ring winning best open bitch and reserve best of breed. Jean definitely went home happy as her Belgium shepherd, Kuifje finally managed to get his first qualification in dog jumping. (Obviously Kuifje just needed some time to mature into greatness!)
