Sports kit donated to elderly

Recipients tested the equipment donated to them.

Senior citizens in Mtwalume no longer have an excuse not to be physically active after the Sizwe Ngcobo Foundation recently handed over a new sports kit.

The donation included soccer jerseys, mini soccer goalposts, balls and more.

Sizwe Ngcobo, the chairperson of the foundation, said the initiative aims to promote health and wellness among senior citizens, encouraging them to stay active and engaged.

He said the foundation is dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for all.

“We believe that staying active is key to a healthy and fulfilling life, and we are thrilled to provide these sports kits to help our elders remain physically active and socially connected,” he said.

One of the recipients, Langalakhe Jomo Cele from eMnafu, said the sports kit will help them stay fit and healthy.

“It is a wonderful gesture, and we are very thankful to Sizwe Ngcobo and his foundation,” said Cele.

The handover ended with a demonstration of exercises the elderly can do with the new equipment and kits.
