Animal charity seeks volunteers

One volunteer is needed to unpack donated items and the other will display the donated items appealingly.

Animal welfare organisation 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue is looking for two people who are able to volunteer two days a week at the organisation’s Tale End Charity Shop at Thira Village, Scottburgh.

The volunteers will assist on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

One volunteer will be needed to assist with unpacking and sorting through the donated second-hand items sold at the thrift shop to raise funds for the NPO’s work in saving abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.

The organisation’s Nicky Koekemoer said certain items would need to be cleaned, with minor stitching done, so an individual who is good with sewing would be ideal.

She said a second volunteer is required to assist in the Tale End Charity Shop to display the donated goods for shoppers.

“While volunteers are currently assisting, they will be leaving at year-end. Anyone who could start before then would benefit from a handover period,” she said.

People wanting to donate their time can contact Nicky on 084 6265508 or email koekemoernicky4paws@gmail.com
