Basil King’s Ballies rule at Pro-Vision

The next two fixtures (fifth and sixth league games) will see Pro Vision play at Port Shepstone Country Club on July 14 and at Southbroom on September 28.

Pro-Vision Golf and Social Club amended their annual Father’s Day competition on Under 50s vs Over 50s, aka Ballies vs Lities.

This tournament was held at Margate Country Club and was sponsored by Preggie Perumal, who treated the players to a braai.

In the field of 36 players, Jerome Ragavan claimed top honours overall with 41 points. Prizes were awarded per division.

The A division was won by Pravesh Govender on 40 points, followed by Sbu Ntozakhe on 39 points and Nkazimulo Nqoko on 38 points.

B division honours went to Fabian Makhanya on 40 points, counting out Niren Ghingai. In third place on 36 points was Morris Moodley.

Winner of the C division was Jerome Ragavan on 41 points, with Sew Ghingai next on 36 points. Krish Kandasamy was third on 35 points.

The Ballies, captained by Basil King, won with an average score of 32.27 to 28 of the Lities.

Golfers are encouraged to play in the Umbango Temple and Shree Ram Nayaran Temple golf day fundraiser (which includes lunch) at Port Shepstone Country Club on July 7.
