New vehicle donated to SPCA

The society's Manager, Mike Davis, said there will never be enough words to express their gratitude to the Steyns.

Southbroom couple David and Edith Steyn recently blessed the Lower South Coast (LSC) SPCA with a brand-new vehicle.

The society’s Manager, Mike Davis, said there will never be enough words to express their gratitude to the Steyns.

Davis thanked the couple for their support, compassion and passion for animal welfare.

Staff at the Lower South Coast SPCA are ecstatic about the new vehicle donated to them by David and Edith Steyn.

“This is an absolute dream come true. This vehicle is going to make a massive difference to the inspectorate team and the animals we attend to. Also, a big thanks to Suzuki for the donation of blankets and food and for sponsoring a four-year service plan,” he said.

There is a lot going on at the LSC SPCA, so take note:

* The SPCA is in desperate need of blankets, wet and dry puppy and kitten food. If you can help, contact 039 312 0962.

* In honour of Mandela Day, the society has chosen to give back by using 67 minutes to help the underprivileged members of the community with 67 sterilisations at R67 each for the month of July. This drive will run from July 1 to 31.

Strict terms and conditions apply: Three-month proof of a household income of R5 000 or less; maximum of two pets per household and no female dog or cat in heat.

The society’s aim is to help families who have pets and struggle to get them sterilised and, in turn, have 67 more animals sterilised to make a difference in the families’ and animals’ lives by stopping the ongoing cycle of unwanted litters.

To book, email admin@spcalsc.org.za or contact 039 312 0962.

* Mark your calendars for the annual Pints for Paws fundraiser at Rocky Ridge in Ramsgate on Saturday, August 3.
Enjoy fun-filled activities for the whole family, from a beer garden supporting local microbreweries, to live music, a craft market, food stalls, jumping castles, face painting and more.
