Great scores at Southbroom

The course is in superb winter condition.

The Nashua business day at Southbroom Golf Club last Friday was won by Brian Blackstock, Ben Xolo, Jan Nqoko and Bulelane Ngilandi on 98 points.

Runners-up were Chris Solgevik, Werner Duggan, Thami Xolo and Rob Mavundla on 97 points.

Third place went to Barry Oehme, Mike Lig, Peter and Ross Kupisiewics on 96 points.

The competition last Wednesday was won by Lynne Blackstock on nett 68, by two from Heleen Hissey.

Stableford winner was Annie Bruwer on 38 points, with Jill O’Callaghan next on 34 points.

The men’s winner was Malcolm Moorley on nett 67.

Stableford winner was Gerald FitzGerald on 40 points, by one from Braden Pratt on 39 points.

Third place went to Malcolm Greenland on 38 points, with Derek Oelofse next on 37 points and Gavin Edwards on 36 points.

Saturday’s ladies’ betterball was won by Bev Riemer and Louise Leal on 39 points, on a countout from Gwyn Wright and Annemarie Bruwer.

Third place went to Jeanette Peyios and Di Morris on 38 points.

The men’s betterball was won by Jack Moulder and Nicky Smith on 43 points.

One behind were Alex and Ken Crawford on 42 points, with third place taken by Chris Ledden and Craig Dixon on 41 points.

They counted out Eddie Geffen and Bobby Jones.
