One can also become a hospice hero by attending events hosted by the organisation.
The South Coast Hospice provides palliative care and support to patients diagnosed with cancer, HIV/Aids, tuberculosis and more.

According to the CEO, Diane Van Dyk, hospice is a non-profit organisation that is entirely dependent on funds raised.

Van Dyk said they also accept monthly donations from R50 and up which is appreciated, saying that this allows them to plan for the care of their patients.

“Donations can also be good quality clothing, furniture, and other items for the charity shop. It can also be financial donations and goods in kind, washing powder, adult nappies, bleach and tin foods. You can also become an ambassador and have a fundraising event for us. This requires an ambassador’s letter from the fundraiser, BT King,” she said.

She urged the public to follow and like their Facebook page, South Coast Hospice.
She added that those who wish to become ambassadors can contact BT on 082 7280233 or email fundraising@schospice.co.za

Donations can be dropped off at the hospice offices at 29 Connor Street or contact to BT to make arrangements.
